Shared Reading in Phonics

Students love reading their phonics readers with partners.  They share the task and talk about what connections they make to the story and questions they have too!  Pick a book at home that your child knows and share the reading together, even if you are the one doing the majority of the work.  Have your child point to the words as you both read.  Shares reading is a great opportunity for you to have mini book talks!  These kids love to share their thoughts on characters  and new information!
