What Research Can Look Like...

Students love learning about multiple meanings of words.  Last week we talked about the word bug.  Students used prior knowledge and life experiences to think about what in life that bugs them.  We used books, photos and words to explore bugs and learn about a variety of insects.  Everyone loved digging into the text features and used many to help them learn from the information in the books in the classroom.  

How do labels and captions help us make sense of the information in the text?
