Comparing quantities

Students used comparing mats and tiles to help easily compare quantities of numbers 0-5.  Students made statements about the quantities using mathematical vocabulary such as more, less, equal, greater, less than.  Students shared their statements on the golden mic and LOVED every minute of it.  

What can you do at home to help support your children at home?  

Have them compare quantities of large spoons/forks at dinner, spoons/forks vs knives on the table.  Comparing objects around the house of variety of sizes, how does size impact the quantity/comparison?
