Book Shopping

Each week the students in our classroom will spend time shopping for books to read of their choice.  We will be learning about good fit books, how to select them and how they can benefit us in our reading development.  Ask your child about the 3 ways to read a book:

• Read the pictures (tell a story, not just label objects on the page)
• Read the words
• Retell the story (using story book language)

Each week students will shop for high interest books, they can read and want to share with their friends.
