Today we celebrated sweet Mercy Watson and her love for toast with a great deal of butter. We used Mercy Watson books as we studied character development in Readers Workshop. Be sure to ask you child what they learned about Mercy's character, how that helped them to make predictions in the story and who were the other fun characters in that series.
